How can I lose 10 pounds in one week? That's the question millions of people want the answer to. The answer is simple, have a baby or get lipo, it's that simple. Does the 3 day diet work, yes. Can it guarantee that you'll lose ten pounds in three days, probably not.
I'm a firm believer that all diets work if they are limiting the amount of food, calories, or carbs that you normally eat. When I was avidly searching for an answer to my fat prayers, this diet sounded like a miracle when I stumbled across it at www.everydiet.com. I tried the diet, and went through it faithfully til the last day. Here's the run down on the diet:
Day One:
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets artificial sweetener
1/2 grapefruit or juice
1 slice toast
1 tbsp peanut butter
Lunch
1/2 c tuna
1 slice toast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets artificial sweetener
Dinner
3 oz any lean meat
1 c green beans
1 c carrots
1 apple
1 c vanilla ice cream
Day Two
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets artificial sweetener
1 large egg
1/2 of a medium banana
1 slice toast
Lunch
1 c cottage cheese or tuna
8 saltine crackers
Dinner
2 beef hotdogs
1 c broccoli or cabbage
1/2 c carrots
1/2 medium banana
1/2 c vanilla ice cream
Day 3
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets artificial sweetener
5 saltine crackers
1 oz cheddar cheese
1 medium apple
Lunch
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets artificial sweetener
1 boiled egg
1 slice toast
Dinner
1 c tuna
1 c carrots
1 c cauliflower
1 c melon
1/2 c vanilla ice cream
Recommended: Drink 4 cups of water or zero calorie drinks daily.
Did I lose 10 pounds? No. However, the scale did move about 3 pounds down. Now, the diet advises you to eat this way 3 days, eat normally (healthily)for 4 days, and start back again. Possibly, that could work over a month. Sounds like calorie shifting to me! The diet is actually right under 1000 daily calories. You could do this diet with much more filling foods like oatmeal, which is only 100 calories per package (instant) and small salads throughout the day.
Now, I don't recommend crash dieting to anyone. I'm just providing some simple first hand experience. If you have any experience with this diet yourself, do share! I'd love to hear your experiences, particularly if you've stuck to it!

The first thing to consider in any weight loss program that you choose is whether the program is safe and allows you to lose weight in a healthy way. Make sure that you are eating a healthy, balanced diet and that you drink plenty of water. Any weight loss plan that you choose should also reward safe exercise along with eating right.
